Today we are announcing the creation of a brand new team league launching in North America, Mythic League League
The first season of Mythic League League will have both an Invite and Open division with a total prize pool of $25,000.
The invite division consists of 24 teams, 20 of which have been directly invited with 4 spots to be earned through two open qualifiers that will take place on April 18th/19th and April 24th/25th with two teams earning a spot in each qualifier. Teams in the invite division will be divided into 4 groups of 6 teams, with each playing the other members in their group in a BO2 (counts as 2 x BO1) beginning May 24th. The top 3 teams of each group will make the playoff tournament taking place between June 25th to June 28th, with the top seed earning a first round bye. A full list of invited teams will be announced at a later date.
The open division will begin Sunday May 17th, 2020 with teams playing one BO1 match per week in a Swiss system. A Mythic League subscription is required for all players on the team in order to participate, however there is no additional entry fee to join. The season will last seven weeks and culminate in a weekend tournament for the top 25% of the teams in the league.
All matches not broadcast on the Mythic League twitch channel will have open IP’s for anyone to broadcast.
